Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit Chillin Hopfen-Treff's website, on what legal basis, and what rights you have. In short: no tracking, a single consent cookie, and external content only after you agree.

1. Controller

Responsible for data processing on this website:

Mark Kohler, Chillin Hopfen-Treff, Konigstrasse 42, 70173 Stuttgart, +49 711 123456, [email protected]

No data protection officer has been appointed; there is no legal obligation to do so.

2. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC (USA); the servers are located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. When you visit, the server automatically processes technical access data — IP address, date and time, requested page and browser identifier — as far as necessary to deliver the site and keep it stable and secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are not combined with other data and are deleted automatically.

Operation and maintenance are handled by a commissioned technical service provider. Data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with all parties involved; transfers to the USA rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

3. Cookies and consent

This website sets no analytics, tracking or marketing cookies. There is exactly one first-party cookie (“chillin_consent”): it stores your choice about external content for at most 180 days and is technically required for that purpose (§ 25(2) German TDDDG). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time at the bottom of this page; consent takes effect only for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

4. Contacting us

If you contact us by email or phone — for an enquiry or about a reservation — we process the details you provide to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, otherwise (f)). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention duties apply.

5. Google Maps

For the directions map we embed Google Maps, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map only loads after you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — via the cookie notice or the button on the map itself. When it loads, Google receives your IP address among other data and may set its own cookies; data may be transferred to the USA (EU Standard Contractual Clauses, EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Details in Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

6. Online reservations (Tableo)

Table reservations run through the booking widget of Tableo Ltd., Merlin House, Mountbatten Street, Hamrun HMR 1574, Malta (EU). This widget, too, only loads after your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); the provider may set its own cookies. When you book a table, Tableo processes the details required for it — name, contact details, date, time, party size and any notes — on our behalf to carry out the reservation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, processing under Art. 28 GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed for handling the booking. Details in Tableo's privacy policy: tableo.com

7. Images and media (Cloudflare)

The images on this website are delivered via Cloudflare R2, a storage service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA — with data held in the EU. When images are fetched, Cloudflare necessarily receives your IP address; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in fast, secure delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place; any transfers to the USA rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

8. No tracking, local fonts, encryption

No analytics or advertising services are used, and no third-party tracking takes place. Fonts are served locally from our own server (no Google Fonts), and the entire connection is TLS-encrypted.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR), and you may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. An informal email to the address above is enough.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The one responsible for us: Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Heilbronner Straße 35, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany.
